Gas forklifts have low emissions which means that these machines are suitable for even enclosed spaces this means that you do not have to worry about the impact that it may have on the environment. 
These forklifts last an average between 10 000 to 12 000 hours of use. However there are specific makes and models that do tend to surpass 15,000  plus hours, even when it is put under extreme stress. At an average 1.500 hours per year then the average lifespan of 10 years.
